HDPE geomembranes are made from high-density polyethylene, a thermoplastic polymer, usually the density is above 0.94g/m³,the high density contributes to the material's strength and durability, making it perfect choice for applications where a robust and impermeable barrier is required, such as in environmental containment and engineering projects.

1.5mm HDPE Textured Geomembrane Advantages

Textured geomembranes are synthetic materials with a surface featuring rough textures. Rough-surfaced geomembranes are often used in water engineering projects,landfill sites and hazardous waste treatment facilities,tailings dams and mine ponds,highways, railways, and airports. The textured surface give it unique advantage:

Effective Seepage Control:

The rough surface of these geomembranes enhances their ability to control seepage, slowing down the rate of water infiltration and increasing friction between the geomembrane and soil.

Production Process


Based on different production processes and manufacturing technologies, HDPE geomembranes can be classified into types like blown film and extruded film. We have two blown film production line, 10m blown production line and 6m blown production, and we also have flat extrusion production line. 

↘ Material Preparation:

prepare vergin raw HDPE (High-Density Polyethylene) resin materials, carbon black and other additives according to your needs.

↘ Material Feeding:

HDPE resin are fed into the hopper of a blown film extruder. The extruder heats and melts these resin, turning them into a molten state.

↘ Extrusion:

The molten HDPE is extruded through a screw in the extrusion machine. This process forms a continuous cylindrical plastic sleeve known as the "blown film."

↘ Blow Molding:

The blown film passes through a mold or die head where high-pressure air is blown into it, expanding the tube into a film. It creates a tubular plastic bag.

↘ Cooling:

Simultaneously with the blowing process, the geomembrane is cooled using a cooling system. This step is essential to rapidly solidify the geomembrane and stabilize its shape.

↘ Cutting and Trimming:

After cooling, the extruded geomembrane is cut to the desired width and length using cutting devices. Trimming processes may further adjust the smoothness of the geomembrane.

↘ Rolling:

The finished geomembrane is rolled onto spools for transportation and use. These rolls are often large to accommodate the needs of large-scale engineering projects.

↘ Quality Control:

Quality control checks are conducted throughout the process to ensure that the geomembrane meets specified standards for thickness, strength, and other key performance indicators.
