Manufacturing Process of HDPE Pipes

1. Preparation of Raw Materials

The process begins with the selection and preparation of raw materials. High-density polyethylene resin, which is a thermoplastic polymer, forms the primary raw material. These pellets are stored in silos or hoppers, where they are mixed with various additives, such as stabilizers, colorants, and UV protectants, to enhance the performance and durability of the final product.

2. Extrusion

Extrusion is the core process in the manufacturing of HDPE pipes. The mixed raw material is fed into an extruder, a machine that melts and forms the material into a continuous pipe. The extruder consists of a heated barrel and a rotating screw. As the screw rotates, it conveys the material through the barrel, where it is gradually melted by the applied heat. 3. Cooling

Once the pipe exits the die, it is still in a semi-molten state and needs to be rapidly cooled to retain its shape and ensure dimensional stability. 4. Sizing
